CMBA Presents A Mayor’s Forum On Affordable Housing.

On Wednesday, May 20, 2009 city and town officials from throughout the state will assemble to discuss affordable housing issues in Connecticut. “HOUSING CT: A MAYOR’S FORUM ON AFFORDABLE HOUSING” is the sixth annual program sponsored by the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association, Inc. (CMBA) Affordable Housing Committee; Connecticut Association of REALTORS, Inc. (CAR); Connecticut Housing Coalition (CHC) and Partnership for Strong Communities (PSC).

The Mayor’s Forum will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Aqua Turf Club, 556 Mulberry Street, Plantsville, CT. Breakfast and registration begin at 8:30 a.m. and the program begins at 9:00 a.m.

The forum is expected to generate a lively discussion and debate on issues communities face in making housing available to low and moderate income families. The following community leaders will participate in the panel discussion:

- The Honorable Paul Formica, First Selectman of East Lyme
- The Honorable Philip Miller – First Selectman of Essex
- The Honorable Dannel P. Malloy, Mayor of Stamford
- Timothy H. Coppage – Vice President Housing Development
